Government Disability Camp 2024 : Benefits available under it
Assistive devices have been distributed to more than 29 lakh beneficiaries in more than 16 thousand camps, and more than 6,793 cochlear implant surgeries have been performed.
- Free distribution of assistive devices to thousands of beneficiaries in more than 70 aspiring blocks and 5 other locations
- The entire expenditure will be borne by the Government of India.
- The camp also provided registration facility for new beneficiaries
QUANTUM OF ASSISTANCE :
(i) For aids/appliances costing upto Rs. 15,000/-.
- Full financial assistance under the scheme.
(ii) For aids/appliances costing between Rs. 15,001/- to Rs. 30000/-
- Financial assistance upto Rs 15000/-
Government Disability Camp 2024 : Eligibility to avail benefits under this
- To avail the benefits under this, the applicant must be an Indian citizen
- Under this, benefits will be given to person of any age.
- To avail the benefits under this, the applicant must have a UDID card or disability certificate
- To avail the benefits under this, the applicant must have proof of being disabled by at least 40%.
- To avail the benefits under this, monthly income from all sources should not exceed Rs 30,000/-.
- To avail the benefits under this, the income of parents/guardians should not exceed Rs 30,000/-.
- Aadhaar number or Enrolment ID of Aadhaar card or other documents specified by the Department as per the notification issued under section 7 of the Aadhaar Act, 2016 are required.
- Has not received assistance for this purpose from any source during the last 3 years. However, for children below 12 years of age, the minimum time of assistance is one year.
